§ 15-34. Written reports of accidents.

The driver of a vehicle which is in any manner involved in an accident resulting in injury to or death of any person or total property damage to an apparent extent of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) or more shall, within twenty-four (24) hours after such accident, forward a written report of such accident to the police department. The provisions of this section shall not be applicable when the accident has been investigated at the scene by a police officer while such driver was present thereat.
