§ 20-46. Water security deposits.
(a)
A security water deposit shall be required by each residential property owner in the amount of one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00). Such deposit will draw no interest and will be refunded in full when the customer's final bill is paid or will be applied to the balance owed after services have been terminated.

Past due water bill penalty — Twenty (20) percent fee based on the past due amount

Deposit for service for residential:
Base deposit for good credit — One hundred fifty dollars ($150.00).
Low credit or higher risk accounts — Two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00).
Previous bad debt customer, this will be determined based on factors described in the ordinance or by the discretion of city staff — Two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00).

Turn on fee after disconnect ..... $25.00, this fee with disconnect must be paid when account is shut off for non-payment. Rereading meter fee calls ..... $25.00, customer will be charged this fee for requesting rereads on water meters, if reading is not correct city will credit this fee to customer and fix incorrect reading. Return check fee ..... $40.00, plus disconnect and turn on fee. Camera sewer fee ..... $50.00, sewer must have camera run through it, if customer has had multiple sewer backup calls in a six-month period. Testing meter fee ..... Minimum $50.00, additional cost based on actual cost. Such deposits will draw no interest and will be refunded in full when customers final bill has been paid, or applied to the balance after services have been terminated.
(d)
Security deposits for garden service (temporary) shall be waived if the customer requesting the service has a residential deposit or a proven payment record.
(e)
Any person leaving the city with a bad debt, and later returning and wanting services restored, shall be required to pay all outstanding debts and put up a security deposit of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) before services are restored to such party.
