§ 20-160. Approval of customer's installation.

  • (a)

    City shall not provide service to a new resident, commercial or industrial location until the location has passed the city plumbing code with an inspection.

    (b)

    For customer's and city's mutual safety, city shall decline to provide service to any customer's installation, which city considers hazardous, unsafe, unsanitary or of such character that satisfactory service cannot be given pursuant to any other applicable city ordinances or codes.

    (c)

    An approved customer shutoff shall be installed on each water account. New locations must have a shutoff installed by a plumber prior to service and existing locations without a shutoff must obtain one when they apply for a plumbing permit.

    (d)

    The providing of service by city shall not indicate that city's installation is pronounced to be safe, sanitary and adequate.
