§ 4-17. Enforcement.

(a)

This chapter shall be enforced by the health officer of the city or his authorized representative.

(b)

The animal control officer is hereby appointed as an assistant health officer or assistant director of public health, and as an authorized representative of the health officer for the purposes of humanely disposing of any animal authorized to be so disposed of by this chapter, and the animal control officer is hereby specifically authorized to humanely dispose of any animal authorized to be disposed of by this chapter.
