§ 4-2. Animal control officer's powers.

  • (a)

    The animal control officer or any member of the sheriff's department is hereby authorized to impound any animal which is in violation of this Code of Ordinances.

    (b)

    The animal control officer or any member of the sheriff's department is hereby authorized to kill any vicious animal running at large. For purposes of this section, "vicious animal" is any animal that by reason of its behavior would constitute a physical threat to human beings or other animals.
