  • (a)

First offense. Any person violating any of the terms or provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.

    (b)

Second offense. Upon conviction of a second violation of this chapter by a person, as that term is defined in section 7-1, in addition to a fine, the board of electrical examiners, acting as the electrical appeals board shall, if it deems necessary or desirable, hold a public hearing for the purpose of determining whether or not the person's license should be revoked. If the board of electrical examiners then determines that the license should be revoked, it shall thereafter be void and vest no rights for a period of not less than twelve (12) months from the date of the public hearing. A license revoked under this provision may be reinstated only by the person successfully passing another examination and paying the appropriate fee.

    (c)

Third offense: Upon conviction of a third violation of this chapter, in addition to the fine, the person so convicted shall be barred permanently from working as an electrician within the corporate limits of the city.

    (d)

No refunds when license revoked. If, for any reason, a master electrician's, a maintenance electrician's, or a journeyman electrician's license is revoked, no portion of the license fee will be refunded.
