§ 7-3. Minimum size wire; exceptions.

Nothing less than No. 12 AWG copper wire will be permitted for electrical installations within the corporate limits of the city except that ground wire in nonmetallic cable be in accordance with Table 250-95 of the National Electrical Code and except for special circuits, such as controls, public address or sound systems, annunciators and signals. Ordinary switch legs for lighting systems may be installed with No. 14 AWG copper wire.
