§ 7-49. Same—Regulations.
(a)
Concealed wiring. Installations, where there is wiring to be concealed, shall be inspected before concealment. The person installing such wiring shall notify the electrical inspector thereof, and the work shall not be covered or concealed until the inspector has approved same. Any person covering or concealing wires before having same inspected, shall be deemed guilty of a violation of this chapter and shall be subject to the penalties provided for in section 7-28.
(b)
Tampering. No person shall molest in any way or tamper with wiring installed in any building. No person shall place any material of any kind except incombustible material within one (1) inch of wires after they have been inspected and approved by the electrical inspector.
(c)
Service connection. No person engaged in the business of transmission and sale of electric current to users thereof shall make any connections of any kind to their transmission lines with the electric wiring or apparatus in any building or place without first having received the electrical inspector's certificate of compliance for the building or place.
