Article II. EXCAVATIONS AND STREET CUTS |
§ 22-27. Permit—Required.
It shall be unlawful for any person acting for himself or acting as an agent, employee, independent contractor or servant of any other person to commence to cut through a city street, to cut through a city street, to commence an excavation through a city street, to excavate or continue to excavate or to maintain an existing excavation upon or through a city street or assist in any way in the prosecution or operation of any such cutting of a city street or excavation of a city street, without having a permit having been issued by the authority of the city council in accordance with the terms of this article.
