§ 7-144. Same—Nonassignable; survivor's rights.
(a)
Not assignable. An electrician's license shall be issued to an individual and shall not be assignable.
(b)
Survivor's rights. Should the holder of a master or journeyman electrician's license die, his widow or adult child may operate the business under his license and bond until the expiration date of his bond or the expiration date of his license, whichever expires first; provided, all installations are directly supervised by a journeyman electrician. If such expiration date is less than three (3) months after the death of the master electrician, the widow or the adult child may operate the business for three (3) months after the death of the master electrician by renewing the bond and the license on a prorated basis.
