§ 5-21. Certificate of acceptance.

  • (a)

    When the work referred to in section 5-20 shall have been finally inspected and approved by the inspector he shall issue a certificate of acceptance to the builder to be delivered to the owner.

    (b)

    No new construction, nor old construction changed, repaired or added to, shall be put to the ordinary use until a certificate of acceptance thereof has been issued by the building inspector. No worker or agent in charge of any premises who shall receive written notice from the building inspector that the construction therein is being improperly or unlawfully constructed or is out or repair or is defectively done, shall continue the construction or use of such construction, but shall at once make all necessary changes and repairs to conform to the provisions of this article.
